once upon a time

there was a little frenchwoman…and she met a handsome, debonair u.s. soldier.

they fell in love.

they had a baby.

and that baby was bridge.

today, 32 29 years ago, bridge was born, kicking and screaming, on european soil. she’s been loved and spoiled by her parents ever since. just ask her.

please stop by today and say happy birthday to one of the most amazing women i’ve ever had the pleasure to know. she’s smart, she’s organized, she’s funny and she’s got one of the cleanest houses i’ve ever seen. she puts up with my sarcasm, my bad habits and she laughs at my crappy jokes. she even puts up with my home zoo to visit me at my house on occasion. she’s always been there for me and i’m grateful for her ~~friendship~~ sisterhood.

for her birthday this year, we went to what may have been the crappiest jazz game i’ve ever been to…the jazz lost, they were behind for the entire game and the crowd kinda sucked.

except for me and bridge.

we ate dinner at the braza grill in clearfield (take the layton exit…) and i highly recommend it. however, do NOT eat the garlic-infused meats if you will be drinking beer or other carbonated beverages throughout the evening. you’ll be sorry. trust me. also, if you sign up for their newsletter online, you get a 25 percent off coupon - which on our bill amounted to about 12 dollars, so it’s worth printing out. i probably also signed up for a bunch of spam, but i already get an inbox full of offers for LG washers/dryers, large screen televisions and the proverbial penis enlargement drugs. what’s one more??

happy birthday, bridge. here’s to another year of living - who would have thought we’d ever be 32?

p.s. i’d like to take this opportunity to point out, yet again, that I AM YOUNGER THAN bridge. i’ll probably do this every year, so get used to it.
