zee agony of da feet

Published by jess under health, jess, self portrait challenge

i have already declared my obsession with feet. i won’t deny it. ever. so quit asking.

i like my feet. i think they are nice. the fourth toe on each foot IS kind of weird…all fat and deformed looking. and my second toe is freakishly long. but i still like my feet. they are also ginormous. about a size 9.5. a 10 in several styles. a size 9 in vans, tho.

yesterday, for the first time, i had foot zoning! it was very awesome and i can’t wait to have it done again. simply put, it’s a way to restore your system defaults. yes, kind of like resetting factory defaults on your monitor! ;) it’s a homeopathic approach to healing and it was very relaxing. it was very strange that my foot zoner could “feel” things in my body. like my lack of a uterus. and she could feel the pain in my stomach in the soles of my feet. she made my throat tickle by rubbing my big toe.

it was very strange. i hope she couldn’t see me naked. or read my mind. some of those chapters are NC-17. hell, they are x-rated. there. i said it. anyhow, i digress…

while i am not opposed to taking medication, i would prefer a natural remedy. if natural remedies can’t make a difference, then bring on the prescription drugs. let us line the pockets of the pharmaceutical salesman.

i am taking some kick ass prevacid right now.

i have an ultrasound scheduled for my gall bladder on thursday. it’s either that…or an ulcer. i’d kinda like to keep ye olde gall bladder around. i might need it, especially if i ever want to eat bacon again.

more spc here. more 3 evil monkeys here.

this, that and the other

~due to the unique nature of our blog, make sure you scroll to see all three pics…

Ayight bitches! You asked for it, now you’ve got it! This biotch has been pimped! Not quite as cool as if they had pimped my 1986 rusted out Honda Prelude but this comes in an extra close second. In fact, it’s still in review, the finish is that close.

I had a great time making this picture. I really think things like this bring out my lame-ass, half-assed creative side. Mostly because it means I get to make fun of myself in the process and hopefully make others laugh.

And, this website ROCKED! My only complaint is that there weren’t more options to play with. How cool would it have been to have a royal purple pimp suit with an ivory topped cane?! Man, that really woulda made this picture grand.

Either way. Also, a quick note on Jess and Bridge’s pics… I love them! We’re AWESOME, if I do say so myself. Oh, wait. I just did!

i think this speaks for itself. yep, that’s me backside. if you click on the picture, it gets bigger and you can read the credits…

This is Bridge talking now… If you haven’t learned by now by reading this blog… I am a geek. A REAL GEEK. If I still lived at home with my mommy and daddy I would totally OWN that storm trooper costume. I could get a real one for around $1000, and yes I did a price check. Unfortunately I get to buy my son super hero costumes. Not my own. /sigh This particular storm trooper costume was voice equipped. When you talked it really sounded like a storm trooper talking. George Lucas hires these guys to do all his events. I want one BAD.

Here I am digging a deeper hole for myself. Um… yeah.

**edit** more self portrait challenge here.

love sees no color

Published by jess under jess, self portrait challenge

well. i don’t know how to make the timer work on my digital camera so ~ until i figure that little tidbit out, you are stuck of pictures that i can take of myself. the art comes in when i digitally alter them. perhaps if i keep telling myself that, then it will be true?

it’s the big day of love tomorrow. i am not planning on getting my man anything. i just want to go on a date with him. i have really been craving crab legs lately so we are going out for CRAB. mmmm…

isn’t time spent together…enjoying each other’s company… better than a gift?

well maybe not. LOL. i hope he gets me something good. HA HA HA!!!

here’s my pic. these are paving a verrry cool SPC path to somewhere. when i get there, i will let you know. hopefully i will figure out that @$%!ing timer thing very soon, too.

i heart you all.

Self Portrait Challenge… Black and White

Published by Bridge under bridge, jess, self portrait challenge

…there are two pics here… the first is of Bridge…the second is of Jess…

This is my entry for the Self Portrait Challenge. You can get to their site by going to http://www.selfportraitchallenge.net/ . Or you can always check our sidebar.

When I think of black & white portraits I always think of graphic lines and texture. I tried to incorporate both in this one. Plus you have to have wicked lighting.

You need to really represent 5 colors of black to white.

Very Black
Kinda Black or Dark Grey
Grey
Light Grey
White

Okay, Okay… I realize these are NOT necessarily the technical terms, but I figured they would help you understand.

Then it is all about the eyes. ESPECIALLY in black & white. The eyes show all emotion, and they are the window to your soul.

If you have a soul. Some people I really wonder about.

A portrait can be shown without the eyes as the main focus, but to do it well it is hard. The eyes lock the viewer in. I rarely see a portrait I like without the eyes telling me something. It really IS possible though. I do take them all the time, it is just REALLY hard. I know this is hard to explain, but in another post I’ll show examples. Doesn’t mean it isn’t a great picture, just not a great portrait. /shrugs…

these are my favorite glasses. i should point out that they are really my only pair of glasses, however, that doesn’t make them any less fabulous!

i do have a pair of prescription sunglasses, ray bans they are. but they don’t even come close to this pair.

i need new ones, says my opthamologist. pshaw.

i like these ones.
